Overflow Ministries provides a comprehensive, integrated recovery model dedicated to transforming the lives of men struggling with addiction by addressing the core drivers of relapse: housing instability and unemployment. Our mission is to facilitate long term sobriety and economic independence through a unique program that combines accountable, structured sober living with in house job skills training and direct partnerships with local businesses. Founded on the belief that holistic mentorship and Christian values are essential for sustained change, we equip participants with the skills necessary to secure gainful employment, contribute positively to the community, and ultimately, pay it forward by guiding the next generation of men in recovery. 

The vision for Overflow Ministries was born from the personal experience of our founder, Derrick Roy. While mentoring men who he employed, recently graduated rehabilitation, and were struggling to maintain sobriety in existing sober living environments. Derrick recognized a profound gap. These men faced systemic challenges: the instability of temporary housing combined with a lack of job skills and sustainable employment opportunities often led to relapse. We established Overflow Ministries to directly counter these challenges, creating an integrated pathway where safe housing and vocational training are inseparable from spiritual guidance. Our model is built on the conviction that lasting sobriety requires structural support, economic stability, and strong Christian mentorship.

We believe our mission is blessed, as evidenced by our rapid expansion and strong community support. Since launching our first sober living home, the demand for our structured program was immediate. Within approximately one month of operation, we were approached by an investor offering a second residential property. This quick commitment allowed us to double our capacity almost instantly.

This rapid growth confirms the critical need for our services and underscores the proven efficacy of our integrated approach in the early stages. The immediate support from investors and community members demonstrates strong external confidence in our model. We are committed to expanding our capacity to serve more men and follow where God is leading this ministry, ready to adapt and grow wherever the need arises.

Our comprehensive program is built upon three non negotiable pillars designed for transformative change and sustained sobriety:

1. Pillar 1: Accountable Sober Living

We provide safe, clean, and highly structured sober living homes where residents commit to sobriety, community rules, and shared responsibilities.

This provides the essential stability and accountability required for recovery, removing the daily burden of housing insecurity.

2. Pillar 2: Integrated Vocational Training

 We recognize the critical link between stable employment and lasting sobriety.

Our future vision involves implementing a unique in house day labor operation. This operation will provide participants with essential job skills training, develop a strong work ethic, and build consistent employment history.

This program component is designed to remove the barrier of finding initial employment and ensure financial consistency within a sober environment, paving a clear path toward long term economic independence.

3. Pillar 3: Holistic Mentorship and Discipleship

Every participant receives regular mentorship and discipleship rooted in Christian values.

We teach crucial life skills, including budgeting, conflict resolution, and leadership development.

This ensures readiness for a successful, independent life where participants are equipped to navigate challenges with faith and integrity.
